Flouride, fallacy and failed family photo
In the news again has been fluoridation of municipal water systems. Why is it there? In 1950, the US Public Health Service enthusiastically endorsed fluoridation before one single trial had been completed. I strongly suggest that you watch on youtube the series of Fluoride Deception. Very interesting and scary info dating back to the 1940’s.
“A breaking new study outright displays the unquestionable danger of fluoride use. Safety officials often dismissed fluoride concerns with the fact that water supplies contain on one part per million fluoride but the study published in Neurologia warned that this amount is dangerous.
Other severe cautions in the results include fluoride’s extreme toxicity and ability to cross the blood brain barrier, avoiding its use altogether especially for children, evidence that it can take 20 years for the toxic accumulation to manifest its effects and more. Fluoride effects biochemistry, neurological and mental development, destruction of teeth, and pregnancies. “Animal studies show fluoride’s toxic brain effects include classic brain abnormalities found in patients with Alzheimer’s disease.”
Fluoridation has always bothered me because the action seems so unethical…to ‘prescribe’ fluoride to everyone…
As stated by the recent recipient of the Nobel Prize for Medicine (2000), Dr. Arvid Carlsson:
“I am quite convinced that water fluoridation, in a not-too-distant future, will be consigned to medical history…Water fluoridation goes against leading principles of pharmacotherapy, which is progressing from a stereotyped medication – of the type 1 tablet 3 times a day – to a much more individualized therapy as regards both dosage and selection of drugs. The addition of drugs to the drinking water means exactly the opposite of an individualized therapy.”
As stated by Dr. Peter Mansfield, a physician from the UK and advisory board member of the recent government review of fluoridation (McDonagh et al 2000):
“No physician in his right senses would prescribe for a person he has never met, whose medical history he does not know, a substance which is intended to create bodily change, with the advice: ‘Take as much as you like, but you will take it for the rest of your life because some children suffer from tooth decay. ‘ It is a preposterous notion.”
- Do the people who have been promoting the use of water fluoridation and actually doing it drink the water themselves? I would certainly hope not. That would be most ignorant thing one would to oneself…and their kids.
- If all the studies are correct(as I believe they are) how much smarter would we all be?
I wanted to touch on diet soda for a moment. I was going to totally discredit the consumption of diet soda, but after reading many articles and then read this article, I have come to the conclusion that the consumption of diet sodas supports something else I have said for a long time:
Anything is fine…in moderation.
Modearation being the key word. Which leads to something else I say a lot.
It’s all relative.
Diet sodas, like regular sodas, like cigarettes, like alcohol are all fine…in moderation. The first two in the aforementioned list I very rarely imbibe. Cigarettes and alcohol are another story. But I do not think I abuse them. Other people have other ideas on my habits…so what? They can do whatever they want. Just don’t preach. Very unbecoming.
I found this and wanted to share. Although I am not in the least bit offended, I am sure there would be some that would. They are obviously fine with it. I still call it a “Fail”.
